WILSON – John Shane “Sonny” Price, age 78, joined his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1947 to the late John and Dorothy Price

John is survived by his son, Michael Shane Price and wife Sharon of Wilson, NC; his sister, Audrey Valone of Seagrove, NC; his brothers, Don Price and wife Pam of Stantonsburg, NC, Dan Price and wife Linda of Grimesland, NC, and William Price and wife Rhonda of Wilson, NC; his grandson, David Price and wife Alysann of Leland, NC; his granddaughter, Hannah Trossman and husband Devin of Raleigh, NC; his loving fiancée, Joy Phillips of Wilson, NC; his five nephews; and his beloved cat.

A Visitation will be held at Shingleton Funeral Home, 2413 Nash St., NW, Wilson, NC 27896 on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Paschall Ave., Stantonsburg, NC 27883 with Rev. Jim Bogel officiating.
